What is the Whittier Neighborhood Initiative?
The Whittier Neighborhood Initiative (WNI) is a neighborhood partnership designed to help families in the Whittier Neighborhood build a better neighborhood.
Who is the WNI?
The Whittier Neighborhood Initiative (WNI) is made up of local businesses, non-profits, churches, public officials, and most importantly, neighborhood residents.

How will the WNI help local families?
The Whittier Neighborhood Initiative will support local churches, community organizations, schools and families in their efforts to build a better neighborhood by:
- Making it easier to own a home in the Whittier Neighborhood.
- Making it easier to secure safe, affordable rental housing.
- Developing a multilingual neighborhood toolbox of community resources that can be easily accessed by neighborhood residents, area nonprofits, and churches.
- Sponsoring neighborhood driven activities such as a Whittier Neighborhood Association, Crime Free Apartment, and Neighborhood Watch Associations.
How can I get involved?
